Bio
How I approach work is a lot like how I approach life – everything should have a purpose. So I’m constantly looking into the backstories, and digging for insights to truly understand complex problems and unpack them in simple, meaningful ways. It’s as if I’m an Art Director with a strategist’s soul.
I’m also meticulous by nature, so not only do I like a clean car and an organized garage, I enjoy bringing my craft into every little detail of everything I make.
My Backstory:
In early 1997, I began my career in NYC working for George Lois. First as a Mac-Studio artist, and then as a Junior Art Director, where I could more officially contribute creative ideas to the work I made. After nearly three years with George, I moved to Boston to fill an Art Director position at ISM Strategic Marketing. I continued to refine my skills and take on creative challenges mostly in the Travel and Tourism industry. After a while, I left ISM to venture out on my own, freelancing for a handful of Boston agencies as well as a couple of my own clients. One agency I consistently freelanced for was PJA Advertising + Marketing, and eventually joined them full-time in 2005. It was there that I started to work on highly-complex, often nuanced accounts. As I was introduced to various tech and life science clients, it seemed what they did got harder and harder to learn about, understand and creatively articulate. However, I quickly became addicted to diving into the various industries and cracking what each of these clients were about – and then redefining their complexity with smart, simple campaigns.
